What is the process of manufacturing guardrails at StalPoint? - From design to finished product
Innovation in the industry? Yes, but primarily in production, not in the form of the final product.
-
Technical consultation and needs analysis
The process always starts with the client. We receive a request for proposal, which may include a detailed design or just a general specification of needs.
-
Design and documentation
The next stage is the development of the technical design. For custom orders, we prepare:
- 2D drawings and 3D models,
- Technical simulations and fastening analysis,
- material lists for production.
-
Cutting and processing of material
Once the design is approved, we begin production. The process begins with precision cutting of steel – usually sheet metal and pipes – using:
- 3D CNC lasers (for pipes and profiles),
- 2D CNC lasers (for sheet metal),
- Band saws (for thicker materials).
The next steps are bending the parts on CNC benders, making holes, cuts and preparing the edges for welding.
-
Welding and joining of components
Among other things, our guardrails are welded by welding robots, which ensures:
- excellent repeatability,
- An even, aesthetically pleasing joint,
- high mechanical strength.
In the case of complex shapes and small series – we also use manual stations, operated by certified welders.
-
Finishing and varnishing
After welding, all parts go to the finishing department, where they are depending on the specifications chosen by the customer:
- cleaned of burrs and chips,
- Sanded in sensitive areas,
- hot-dip galvanized,
- Powder-coated in our state-of-the-art paint shop (default color is yellow or red or as ordered).
Powder coating and hot-dip galvanizing ensure resistance to abrasion, weather and corrosion – which is crucial both indoors and outdoors.
-
Quality control
Each batch of barriers undergoes quality control, including:
- measurement of dimensions,
- weld verification,
- paint coating tests,
- Checking fasteners and mounting components.
We have ISO standards in place and an internal documentation system to track every stage of production.
-
Packaging and logistics
The finished railings are packaged according to customer requirements – on pallets, in modular systems or individually secured. We deliver throughout Poland and Europe, working with both large construction companies and directly with investors.
StalPoint – manufacturing you can rely on
Manufacturing a guardrail may seem like a simple process, but only a refined system and experience can achieve the quality that the industrial market expects. At StalPoint, we focus on repeatability, durability and matching real-world operating conditions.
